Okay, good to know. I know that getting them on the street would probably be better, but I really, really don't like to haggle or anything like that. What to do?
I'm not a haggler either, but for that game you won't have to. Walk around, compare seats/prices, pick the ones you like. You should have plenty of choices.

Sports / VTTW Message Board / So, what's your reaction when a hated rival's player signs w/your fav Pro team?

Assume a very talented, but *hated* Alabama / Florida player signs with the Titans / Colts / WhomEverIsYourFavProTeam ... do you (a) welcome the dude, yo teammate! (b) hope he never pans out is traded away (c) hope he gets injured [can't believe anyone would really want this] (d) pretend you don't know anything about it ... LA LA LA LA LA I can't heeeeear you! I must admit, I have trouble "welcoming" a hated rival to "my" Pro team ... not very mature/adult of me, I know, but ... that's who I am. Feedback? Opinions? Confessions?

Thanks guys/gals... You know, obviously my wife knows I'm a regalar poster here. In fact when we would have big news such as the baby, one of the things she would ask is "have you posted it on the board yet?" then she loves reading the congratulatory abd encouraging responses. I think your posts of encouragement have gone towards easing her mind about the whole thing. A c section was not in her plans at all, but it is what it is.
You know, this is such a special time. I find myself wanting to freeze time so i can take in these moments, but at the same time Wednesday can't get here soon enough. It's so surreal.
Tonight as I was fumbling around trying to assemble his new playpen/bassinette she was laughing hysterically at me becoming frustrated with the instructions. I think it's the hardest I've ever seen her laugh. I can't really explain, but I just looked up at her and thought "God, what an amazing woman". This is going to be such an incredible journey!
Great, great post, bud. Everyone in the VTTW community, Vol or visitor, is really very lucky to have a board where they can make, or read, a post like this. But next time ... just buy one that's pre-assembled, OK?! As an old bachelor w/0 kids, I am fully qualified to make this recommendation!

Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: I'm thinking about buying a used Mac Mini

Actually, the new mac mini's aren't all that expensive, but one generation before that they still had good performance (unless you want to game or do power computing / video editing, etc.). I have one of the *original* mini's (the PowerPC one, and you don't want one of those, CPU is just way too old). You will be pleased! They're as quiet as a butterfly, and weigh just about as much. Teeny-tiny footprint, heck if you have a spare keyboard/monitor wherever you travel to (2nd home, relatives, vacation condo, whatever), it's as convenient as a laptop in my opinion.
Other than eBay or maybe mac warehouse I don't know where you should look. Apple stores don't sell used equipment as far as I know.
Welcome to the mac club! (I traded in my old mini for an iMac).

Love it. Yes I would like the "eggies" to join the SEC. But, some big questions -- if they do join the SEC, WOULD OUR TX RECRUITING IMPROVE? And, a follow-up ... seems I remember that, historically, our TX recruits tend NOT to pan out very well. Should we even WANT more players from TX? Would appreciate your thoughts on this. My suspicion is, we'd pick up about 2 to 3 players from TX each year, not necessarily the best players, but who could help us ... some. A boost for the Vols, but a modest one.
