They?re about to drop another game at SC, which will leave us just a game back. And they?ve got Arkansas next weekend. They?re in trouble. 

And UK lost to SC, so we?re now only 2 games back for the East lead.

It?s definitely top-heavy, but I don?t think it?s quite as strong top to bottom as it?s been in the past. A&M, Arkansas, UT, and UK have separated themselves from the pack.

Still probably the best conference- though the ACC is pretty good this year, too.

What happened? I switched over to that game late. Watched 6 innings of the Braves game on the 2nd screen before I realized it was a replay of last night?s game. 

They?re 3 games up on us, but I don?t think it?s impossible that we catch them. Our remaining schedule is a little more manageable. They?re a good team, but I don?t think they?re quite as good as their record. We were the first SEC team they played with a winning record.

Not that it matters. A division title is meaningless. So is Hoover. It?s now all about getting in the best position possible for the NCAAT.

C-Mo making himself a LOT of money this season. That bat will play at any position in MLB, but if he can get his defense up to snuff to remain at 2B, he?s a future MVP caliber player.

Winning this series would be huge, and big springboard for the homestretch of the regular season. We've got Mizzou, @UF, @Vandy, and SC left. We should be favored to at least take 2 of 3 in all of those series. Do that, and we should clinch a host spot for the Supers (and with the newly expanded LNS, we won't lose out to a bigger stadium again this year either). I like how the pitching is rounding into form at the right time (with AJ Russell still to return). And we've got a MUCH more potent offense than last year, too. We're positioning ourselves well for a deep run in June.

Vandy?s pitcher was just ejected for using a foreign substance. Weird, because I was told that Tim Corbin?s teams always do things the right way. They?re all about ?the integrity of the game?.

CTV should challenge every pitcher they run out there, and have the umps check them for contraband when we play them. You know damn well Corbin would if the shoe was on the other foot.

Gave that one away with poor defense.

Third and fourth in Men's football and basketball,respectively.  Sadly only 7th in women's basketball. I am sure that was once no.1 by a large margin, with the exception of UConn for the last 15 to 20 years. Hopefully we will be back in the top 3 or 4 in women's basketball before too long. 

Yeah, I remember during the PHS years they?d average like 16K, UConn was #2 with like 8k, and no one else was even close.

I don?t think baseball has any in-season flex options like football and basketball. The entire tv schedule is set before the season starts and cannot budge until the postseason. And no one expected UK to be this good, so these games get banished to streaming.

If nothing else, he definitely makes the SEC All-Name team. 

Next weekend should be interesting. UK leads the league at 14-1, but they really haven?t played anyone yet. But neither have we. If history is any indication, it will be low 40s with rain and 40mph gusts in Lexington. 

Some serious gamesmanship from CTV this week. Amick had been out after an appendectomy, and all week TV was like, ?He hasn?t even swung a bat in 6 weeks. Maybe we?ll try to get him a pinch hit appearance or two, just to work him back up to speed?. 

I think they wanted this one bad. LSU?s starter Holman supposedly did us dirty in his portal recruitment last summer.

They just aren?t the same without Acne McJuicehead on the mound on Friday nights. 

It?s hard to believe this whole thing started with SMU. Usually the coaching carousel dominoes start big and get smaller- this is just the opposite. I halfway expect BYU to keep this craziness going by hiring someone like Mark Few.
