Yep...it happened. Most of the time when a player is out injured...they....umm... you know...stick around and 'Support' their teammates.

The offense is/was awful and MM was never going to be more than a average QB under that system. Malarkey in his Sunday presser saying he thought things were ok and the OC was doing a good job and he wasn't going to make any changes got him fired and should have. The question is who are the Titans going to get? Rumor has been going around for a couple of weeks that the GM who came from New England wants McDaniel's.....but the NFL talking heads are saying he's headed to the Colts after the playoffs?

I saw it reported this morning. We can use him.

Most coaches could give a shizzle about betting lines and in that situation will almost always take a knee to prevent injuries.

Betting line is the reason....as in Vegas and bookmakers. Line at kickoff was 5.5......that non extra point cost a lot of money.

Wish him the best of luck......Thought he might be a better fit for Pruitt's offense but seems he just wants gone. Doubt he'd be rehabbed enough to play in the Spring so he will be behind the curve anywhere he is.

Still can't believe what I just saw! That play reminded me of how we got beat in the 2015 Florida game.

Some are wanting Freeze and several Bama fans are wanting Swamp Donkey to return. Whoever it is the rat asses won't miss a beat.

One other thing....not sure how widely known it is, but OU's QB in 1985 was Troy Aikman, who is from Oklahoma.  Miami broke his ankle during the game, and per my room mate, that's the main reason they won.  Aikman was replaced by Jamelle Holloway, who was better suited to the offense OU ran anyway, so Aikman transferred to USC, where he nearly won a Heisman, then got drafted and the rest, they say, is history.  (-:

My old room mate's best friend played HS ball with Aikman and was a TE/WR.  Said Aikman frequently left red marks on him if he didn't catch the ball in time.  You didn't want to get hit by an Aikman pass in the stomach or back.  

Forgot he started out at OU.....He finished at UCLA IIRC.

Good win.......Man I thought there for a while they were going to blow that 18pt lead.

Always enjoyed hearing Bill Anderson recount how he ran into Keith Jackson before the game and Jackson said he just hoped Tennessee kept it close enough to prevent the TV audience from tuning out at halftime.

I taped the game so I could watch it when I got home from New Orleans (just in case we won  ). In the pregame Jackson pretty much said he didn't think we had much of a chance.

The Shark might be looking for a job back at Bama. That was some bad play calling there at the end.

I about fell out of my seat in the Super Dome when JP broke through the LOS....I told my wife....he gone!

Coached against him the whole time he was at Milan....Stud....and Ernest Fields...and Kidd.

He turned a couple of former Walkons into all conference players. Memphis threw the ball 80% of the time and I watched his WRs make catches that made me say wow.

He used to be my favorite national play by play guy.  But I won't lie: I somewhat resented him ever since ABC made the closing moments of our NC victory all about him and his impending "retirement".  And then he un-retired a couple years later anyway.

But in his prime, he was great.  Not John Ward great, but great.

Agree and I posted the same thing on TOS about the end of our NC game....that chapped my ass. Like you said.....after that he called Pac 10 games for a few years before actually retiring.

Got over 2 inches of pure sleet here in West Tn. and now it's snowing hard on top of the sleet. It's slicker than a frozen pond out there.

From what I see/hear, UT fans are jumping to the conclusion that it's a done deal that JJ is coming back.  From what I am hearing, it's far from a sure thing.  Again, hearing that there are several conditions that JJ is going to have to agree to, and that is is not done, and there are no guarantees that he will be back when all is said and done.  Still a lot of unhappy folks with the way he just walked away from the team when others in similar situations were still being good team mates. They all had the same crappy head coach.  That's not a valid excuse for JJ. 

Agree....And I'm sure CJP will have a good talk with the entire team before any decision is made. There are some...as in more than 9-10 that don't want him around. Pruitt will be smart enough not to do something that might make the air in the locker room thick. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Refreshing to see a guy that looks like a coach speak.....I stopped watching Botch's pressers after 2015....just couldn't stand listening or looking at him again.

I've already seen folks wearing shirts with Aight printed on the front.

That was a bad officiated game.....In fact it was some of the worst no calls you'll ever see. I'm all for letting them play...letting DBs and WRs go at it. But there were holding calls that were missed several times....missed facemask calls with a ref looking right at the play....Should have been a personal foul called on a Bama DB shoving Fromm's head to the ground after a tackle. If that had been a UT DB there would have been 34 flags thrown right there....On that Bama TD to tie it....the WR had a running start before the ball was snapped.....It looked like the Canadian football league where they let them move forward before the snap. Just a bad called game.

 

Next time DK is right will be the first time.
