I really couldn't care less what anyone in that family has to say.  As flawed as our offense may be, it sure didn't seem to slow Alvin Kamara down last year.  You know, the guy who is an early NFL Rookie of the Year frontrunner while Jalen is riding the pine and pouting in the football backwater that is Waco, TX.  In fact, with the benefit of hindsight, it's pretty clear now that Butch's biggest mistake on the offensive side last year was not starting Kamara and benching Hurd sooner.

But I wish Jalen well at Baylor.  Maybe they'll actually win a game next year.  Not that any of the Hurds actually care about such team goals.

^Black Diamond with the walk off.

Was she at Cincinnati the same time Botch was?
4580  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: When we finally score a TD (assuming it even happens again this year) on: October 16, 2017, 12:30:30 EDT
What is the over/under on scoring any points at Alabama? Being a 35 point dog to the Tide is too low IMO. If we cross mid-field on their first team, I will be astonished.

Vey well could be 35 by the half.
4581  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: 8:36 AM. Has Butch been fired yet?* on: October 15, 2017, 04:40:00 EDT
I have a very good inside source that told me point blank that Botch Jones will not be the UT coach in 2025. No questions please!

New UT student cheer:

I lived on a aircraft carrier with 4,000 other guys making less than minimum wage working 15 hour days......At 4 million a year my ass could live anywhere.
4584  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: SC now has a streak on UT. Let that sink in on: October 15, 2017, 12:44:33 EDT
He's 6-0 against UT.
4585  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Well, there's this... on: October 14, 2017, 11:51:35 EDT
LOL.....he's late with the nail in the coffin. That fate had already been sealed. Remains to be seen when the plug is pulled however.
4586  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Game Report (Butch has checked out version) on: October 14, 2017, 11:47:33 EDT
Scott has never met a 1st down he didn't like to run it between the tackles.......OL is worse than last year....we thought it was Mahoney, NOPE it's Botch's scheme. Do we have WR's that can beat a NAIA defense? The defense is good for about 3 series....after that they are done. Allowed USC to have their best rushing game of the season when it was said all week in the media that USC was a bad rushing team and our DBs can't cover a bed with a blanket.

I've seen UT teams that were bad on D but good on O.....and the other way around. We are bad on both sides and don't see it getting any better. I see 1 or 2 more wins.
4587  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Mizzou is the only thing standing between us and 0-8 in the SEC on: October 14, 2017, 10:37:26 EDT
We will not outscore Mizzou. Don't see it.

1 or 2 more wins is all I see right now.
4588  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Wikipedia better add some extra servers tonight... on: October 14, 2017, 05:01:43 EDT
I like Dino, but don't know how he lost to MTSU. That having been said, it's year two, his team can run block, and the QB can go under center. Plus, he did a great job slowing down in the 4th quarter.

They probably took MTSU lightly like Clemson took Syracuse lightly or it seemed tonight. Clemson looked average.
4589  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Wikipedia better add some extra servers tonight... on: October 14, 2017, 04:28:03 EDT
Should have hired him the day they gained 8 miles on us in Nashville and fired Botch. Botch should be coaching at Bowling Green.....coaching the bowling team at Bowling Green more like it.
4590  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: More from the rumor mill. aTm to offer Franklin if Sumlin gets fired. on: October 12, 2017, 11:38:13 EDT
The guy can coach and I'd take him at UT in a second. IMO he will be back in the SEC at some point.

My gosh...Dormady's mechanics are awful.....No QB coach no matter what level of coaching coaches a QB to do things Dormady does.

A lot of the issues on this team and last years team is a lack of discipline. That is fact.
4593  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Flea'd from VolNation on: October 12, 2017, 05:17:47 EDT
Cut is right where he wants and needs to be....at Duke. Win 6-7 games a year and fans love him. UT needs a HC with a lot of energy and that's not Cut anymore.
4594  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Rumor is QD leaving the program* on: October 11, 2017, 05:11:46 EDT
I get it.  He has looked pretty awful so far.  Maybe starting eases the pressure.

It's funny though.  It's easy to forget what a physical specimen Dobbs was.  6-3 215, and wow can he run.  Was very hard to bring down in the open field.  Dormady running...never mind.  Gitmo is slightly taller but gives up 20+ pounds.  Skinny as a rail.

From what I have seen, that makes a difference.  Still, him starting actually gives me something to look forward to saturday. I was planning on doing a MidTNVol "record and spend my time doing somethign else", but now I will at least tune in for the start.

By looking at those stats I posted in the other thread.....Sometimes you are looking for some production....any production. Hope Gitmo gives us a spark.

Dobbs was a hell of a running back that played QB.
4595  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Rumor is QD leaving the program* on: October 11, 2017, 03:35:09 EDT
Just by what I've seen from Gitmo.....I won't be shocked if we see Dormady this weekend too.

The worse the play-calling, the more valuable a mobile quarterback.  Once he leaves the pocket, it doesn't matter what was called.  Probably why the Dobbs offense was so successful.

Exactly....Dobbs got us out of a lot of bad play calls and bad OL blocking.
4599  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Rumor is QD leaving the program* on: October 10, 2017, 10:02:32 EDT
If Butch promises to give him more leadership reps, do you think he'll change his mind?

He should have gotten some Leadership Reps standing on the sidelines for 2 years behind Dobbs.....He seems to be lacking in leadership and development.

If in fact he does leave and he's upset that Gitmo is starting and doesn't want to work hard to try to win his job back then he doesn't need to be the QB at Tennessee. This team is lacking in alphas...too many crybabies. It's why tough teams pound us.

Started every game this season and he might leave? Instead of improving? If true, Bye.
