I really couldn't care less what anyone in that family has to say. As flawed as our offense may be, it sure didn't seem to slow Alvin Kamara down last year. You know, the guy who is an early NFL Rookie of the Year frontrunner while Jalen is riding the pine and pouting in the football backwater that is Waco, TX. In fact, with the benefit of hindsight, it's pretty clear now that Butch's biggest mistake on the offensive side last year was not starting Kamara and benching Hurd sooner.
But I wish Jalen well at Baylor. Maybe they'll actually win a game next year. Not that any of the Hurds actually care about such team goals.
^Black Diamond with the walk off.

Scott has never met a 1st down he didn't like to run it between the tackles.......OL is worse than last year....we thought it was Mahoney, NOPE it's Botch's scheme. Do we have WR's that can beat a NAIA defense? The defense is good for about 3 series....after that they are done. Allowed USC to have their best rushing game of the season when it was said all week in the media that USC was a bad rushing team and our DBs can't cover a bed with a blanket.
I've seen UT teams that were bad on D but good on O.....and the other way around. We are bad on both sides and don't see it getting any better. I see 1 or 2 more wins.

I like Dino, but don't know how he lost to MTSU. That having been said, it's year two, his team can run block, and the QB can go under center. Plus, he did a great job slowing down in the 4th quarter.
They probably took MTSU lightly like Clemson took Syracuse lightly or it seemed tonight. Clemson looked average.

Cut is right where he wants and needs to be....at Duke. Win 6-7 games a year and fans love him. UT needs a HC with a lot of energy and that's not Cut anymore.

I get it. He has looked pretty awful so far. Maybe starting eases the pressure. It's funny though. It's easy to forget what a physical specimen Dobbs was. 6-3 215, and wow can he run. Was very hard to bring down in the open field. Dormady running...never mind. Gitmo is slightly taller but gives up 20+ pounds. Skinny as a rail. From what I have seen, that makes a difference. Still, him starting actually gives me something to look forward to saturday. I was planning on doing a MidTNVol "record and spend my time doing somethign else", but now I will at least tune in for the start. By looking at those stats I posted in the other thread.....Sometimes you are looking for some production....any production. Hope Gitmo gives us a spark. Dobbs was a hell of a running back that played QB.

The worse the play-calling, the more valuable a mobile quarterback. Once he leaves the pocket, it doesn't matter what was called. Probably why the Dobbs offense was so successful.
Exactly....Dobbs got us out of a lot of bad play calls and bad OL blocking.

If Butch promises to give him more leadership reps, do you think he'll change his mind? He should have gotten some Leadership Reps standing on the sidelines for 2 years behind Dobbs.....He seems to be lacking in leadership and development. If in fact he does leave and he's upset that Gitmo is starting and doesn't want to work hard to try to win his job back then he doesn't need to be the QB at Tennessee. This team is lacking in alphas...too many crybabies. It's why tough teams pound us.
