It's no coincidence that we started signing elite recruits at unprecedented rates when Neyland-Thompson opened in 1987.  It was the gold standard back then, and probably had a lot to do with guys like Webb, Pickens, Manning, Nash, Little, etc. coming to UT.  Now that we're about to have the best facility in America again, I expect to see another bump in recruiting.  The difference is there's a lot more money to go around these days, so the new building probably won't stay at the top of the heap for as long as N-T did.

An MMA cage?  Ummmmm.......why? Unless there are plans to kidnap Kiffin and get him in that cage with, say, Fulmer.  Or better yet, Al Wilson. Nah....I would rather see Fulmer and Kiffin go at it.

My reaction is the same as MIAUTIGER's...  Ummmmm, why?

They're actually going to have MMA fights as part of training?  That can't be good.  I don't get it.

I don't think the athletes will be in the cage. I hear that the bottom will be able to hold lots of Jell-O. They had to find something for the hostesses to do.

I'm all for whatever can make this team tougher and more physical.  If that means locking them in a cage and having them beat the shizzle out of each other, then so be it.
