User error.  I just deleted all the members I accidently approved earlier today.     We have 16 pages of users and I deleted the 42 pages of spam users.  At least I got the other several thousand right that I rejected this morning.

It sounds like they flood in each day if you have to delete that many.

I hate spammers with a passion. And they're so advanced now you have to use CAPTCHA features with difficulty levels so high that most of us humans can't interpret them.

I just checked and deleted 17 more that registered since 3:00 p.m.

Yep.  That's why people have to e-mail us with their information so we can go directly to their registration before it will be approved.  We get dozens of spam registrations every day.  I haven't checked in a while and there were over 8,000 waiting for action today.
