Everyone knows what the answer is. They don't have to say it. The only coach they worry about pissing off is King Satan.

Of course they were protecting the teams they feel have a chance at the playoffs (if there is one). It's easy to see. UT's SEC strength of schedule went from 11th prior to adding the 2 teams to 5th.

I’ll echo what others here have said: I like our schedule. I’m excited to see a slate of games that actually matter, minus the usual three OOC tomato cans. And getting to (hopefully) see the Vols play 30 minutes away twice in three years is awesome.

But seeing the treatment of he league’s top three contenders, as well as the SEC’s refusal to provide a logical explanation, makes their agenda pretty transparent. It also further calls into question a lot of the on-field stuff we’ve seen recently. Remember all the questionable calls that went against us in the bammer game last year?

Phill, what this says is that the SEC is LOADED

Also, for how difficult the schedule is, we still have 3 of the worst teams in the SEC on our schedule

So who should get to play the easiest opponents? Plus you never know which team is going to improve immensely. If you ask me, nobody's schedule looks easy.

The coaches want transparency in what was used to add the two additional opponents. If it was to maximize SEC revenue then say it. If it was to balance out the pain of playing a conference only slate then say that. If they pulled names out of a hat then let them know. They just want to know what was used and how it was applied. The SEC shares everything equally among the member schools and being secretive in their approach does not bode well in my opinion when future difficult decisions are required.

Like I mentioned previously, the timing of these games on the calendar will be the next interesting point of discussion.

^Exactly...You play the teams you are scheduled to play....But also they should have been told how the the plus 2 was arrived. In most opinions it was to protect some that the SEC protects.

It was supposed to have come out last week. I guess they had to consult with Saban, Smart, and Orgeron first.

I thought the 2 extry games would be the next 2 out of division opponents that each team would have played.  The SEC did not do it this way?  WHy the F would they not do it that way?  THat makes no fizzleing sense.......

They didn't want the potential of the same teams playing consecutive years
Yet at least one pairing will most likely repeat
So their apparent methodology SUCKED
