I just read on VQ that UT has thrown to the tight end 7 times all season.  Four of those throws were by Bailey in one drive last week.

Not sure our OC realizes that the TE is a legal receiver when he's not covered up.

Good point.  

Throwing to the middle of the field isn't exactly his forte.  

But in reality, he has no forte, so we're screwed from the get go.  

But Poot tells us that he's our best chance to win.

I'm no football coach, and don't pretend to know a lot from that perspective, but my first thought is that the tight end is often a checkdown throw - something that JG doesn't understand.  I really think that the majority of the time he knows who he's throwing to before the ball is already snapped. 

I think that a good quarterback must be able to see the entire field, much like a point guard in basketball.  I don't think that JG has really ever shown that ability.
