So Tennessee is the only program determined to bottom out before we start looking for a new coach.  We need higher $ boosters.

Sark is a good hire if he can keep it together. I'll be pulling for his sobriety far more than gridiron success. That's quite the fight.

As noted in another thread, this is the easiest year to hold a coaching search ever.
1) Other items dominate the news (virus, election).
2) The early signing period meant most of the hay is in the barn, and there weren't large defections since most early commits couldn't take other visits.
3) The last two weeks allowed programs to clandestinely search. If the top three choices turned you down no one would know.

Unfortunately our AD is not bright enough to take advantage of this. I would love to be proven wrong.

I think Harbaugh is a damn good coach, but obviously it did not work out for him at Meatchicken for whatever reason.  He will probably do well wherever he lands - a change of venue will do wonders for him, maybe after a little time off.  I also think his brother is a damn good coach, and even he has had some lean years with the Ravens, but he has had the Ravens overperform many times too, IMO.

The Buckeyes are the only school that recruits like an SEC school. That's why they dominate the conference. All the other schools just don't have the athleticism  the Buckeyes have.

I’ve never been very impressed with Herman. But the last time we hired a castaway from lil’ ut it worked out pretty well. Just sayin’.

Herman was 32-18 at Texas....Won 4 straight bowl games and played for a conference championship. I'd take that right now.

So would I. But it’s probably a mistake to assume he could duplicate that success in Knoxville. Still, if it’s a choice between the status quo and taking a chance on Herman, I’m rolling the dice.

That’s gotta be the quickest fire/hire turnaround I’ve ever seen.

Don’t understand why they were in such a hurry to hire a loser like Sark, but whatever.

Because he's had success at Bama with the best talent in the country.

He also inherited a top 5 offense in the history of the NFL, with every single starter back, and coached them to the bottom half of the league the very next year.

I'll never forgive him.

Now the rumors are that he is getting an extension.

Based on what's out there Michigan is wanting to extend him to 2026...Probably because they believe they can't get anybody better and it's been said the Lions might be interested.

To be fair, this was Hermans fourth year.

Yup.  Any reasonable fan would.
