Tony just said that in talking with people on both sides of the situation that he is told by both that they expect an agreement to come down as early as the first of the week next week, and that it includes the 7 figures in salary, major pay increases for his staff, and a major overhaul of Lindsey Nelson that TV wants.

He also said that, as we've talked about some here, that Danny White really hasn't been deeply involved in the negotiations, and that Larry Pratt and Peyton Manning have been in front of it putting a group of key boosters together to fund it.  And Jimmy Sexton is representing Vitello.

He also said that Texas A&M has literally thrown the bank at Vitello, but that Vitello really doesn't want to leave Knoxville.

Great news for all involved.

Have you heard if they’re still sticking by these plans from a couple years ago? Because honestly, this is underwhelming. It would be an improvement for sure, but LNS would remain in the bottom half of the league.

I’m not saying we need a 20,000 seat palace like all those West division teams, but at least something half that size with all the modern amenities.

Hearing it's going to be around a $35 million project. It will likely include much of that and more.

Never good news to me to hear Jimmy Sexton is representing any UT coach.

But in spite of that nit, very good news.

Agree with Bandit. Aside from Sexton it's good news.
