Would you slow play the investigation Droner? The only potential downside I see is negative recruiting, but I think the impact of that largely goes away with NIL success and a solid offense.

I think they have about wrapped it up. I think UT will announce its self-imposed punishment and hope the NCAA accepts it. What I would do is self-impose something lighter than you might otherwise do and hope that under the circumstances the NCAA caves and accepts it.

That makes sense Droner. Just give them something small and move on.

I wonder if a bowl ban is actually less of a deal than it used to be with NIL. Now the bowl prize pack isn't that much. Plus it doesn't hurt the 2022 recruiting class.

There will always have to be an "NCAA" in some shape, form, or fashion.  No competitive group can exist without some kind of oversight organization.
