I guess Riley is a candidate for USC job. Why would he leave OU?

Exactly.

And why would SC want a guy who yet has to field a defense with a pulse?

Well USC has had neither a good offense or defense lately. Riley does well with the 5* Qb's, but wouldn't a lot of coaches?

Other than the fact that he’s an alum, I’m not sure why OU would be interested in Huepel, either. And I don’t expect that he’ll do anything this season to change that. But if they come for him, then whatever. Another coaching search. Ho hum. It’s what we do.

Dooley - “What if Georgia poaches him?”
Butch - “Oh no, Michigan!”
Pruitt- “He’ll go to Bama”

I would like to state that I am removing my name for consideration for any coaching job.

Unless someone really wants to hire me. I mean, what kind of idiot would I be to turn down that kind of money?

I'd think the Friday afternoons off before games might be a LIMFAC

Well...Butch did end up at Arkansas State.

Yep.  And they fired him as the OC.  Not sure hiring him as the head coach would go over well in Norman.
