Definitely a time to "put on more steam".  Lots of time left in this one.

D is getting tired. Maybe going under center and taking our time on this possession wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Too late. 3rd and 12 and we get a touchdown. I guess if we score every time we can outlast them

Its like watching a practice with most of the skill players wearing green jerseys

Love it.  Vols have needed this for a long time.  A LOOONNNNGGGG time.

It's almost like their defense is pissed at their coaches for some reason and decided to tank it today out of protest. That's how it looks.

Reminder that there are two teams out there that Mizzou actually beat.

I don't mind that ruling at all.

Now we can run more clock.

Like I said. Just score every time and there's nothing to worry about.

That was a TD the first time. Not that it matters. The long review gave our D some extra rest anyway.

Before that drive we had 5 TDs and 1 first down, I think.

Hooker is 7/8 today, and the one miss came on an obvious uncalled hold on a deep route that probably would've gone for a TD.

I just can't get my head around the SEC having teams as bad as Vandy and Mizzou. You would think they could get "some" talent recruiting wise. Pathetic. But these things go in cycles. The "haves" are getting most all the talent. The "have nots" are getting worse year by year.

It's more than just those two.  Kentucky almost lost to CHATTANOOGA at home!  Probably would have without a really bad noncall PI that led to a Kentucky pick 6.  Auburn just barely survived GSU, and there was a bad call in that game also.

The top 2-3 in the SEC are very good, and the next couple can hold their own, but there are some bad teams also.  SEC has never been a top to bottom conference, or rarely is. It's always the top teams that make it dominant.

Our kicker has been shaky.  He needed a rep.

Time of possession:

Missouri: 18.09

Tennessee: 11:51

The biggest chunk of that for UT came in the last drive.

If you just looked at Mizzou's yardage you'd think they were doing pretty well... That yardage is typical for a half. I guess we have a QB now?

We are winning the penalty battle also.  Mizzou has like 8, I don't think we have a single one yet.  This is a big improvement for Vols, we have had way too many, particularly against gators last week.

I did say Auburn might be worse than advertised.  I agree things may go farther south down there.

The caveat is that let's see what their new QB does against his former team.  I think Nix was a huge part of the Auburn issues not only this season but the last two.  I watched the highlights of the GSU game, Nix just flat out suxed. Looked like JG at his worst (well almost his worst).  Auburn settled for 4 FGs in the first half that should have been at least two TDs had Nix not missed wide open WRs in the end zone.

Think they will be much better with TJ going forward, but we will see.

shizzle.  Special teams have been a bright spot. No excuse for that!

But at least our offense can run more clock and rest the D, right?
