Haven't sat down there in a really long time, so I don't have recent emotional attachment to that specific area (or any of the areas that will be changing this off-season).  But, it's jarring to see, nevertheless.

I just care about widening the east and south concourse, though I rarely sit there.

My grandfather originally bought our family seats in section R in the 50s.  I don’t know why, but those pictures just shook me.  My family has sat there for almost 70 years.  Poof, they are gone.  It makes me so sad.

Someone posted on another board that the AD should really fix the bathrooms.  Said the troughs are embarassing and even rusted out, and alleged that parts of the stadium haven't been painted since the 80s or 90s (I have my doubts about that last part).

I would say the point about the bathrooms is a good one, cosmetically. How many 10s of millions have been dumped into the stadium in the last 20 years and something as basic as bathrooms haven't changed since the 50s?  That's kind of embarassing actually.

As for the troughs, I personally don't mind them.  IMO they speed things up.  I dislike waiting with a full bladder a lot more than I dislike the troughs.

Coming from some of my experiences in the military, troughs are a welcome step up!

WOW!!  My whole life growing up, Mom and I sat in section S -- about 30 rows up.   I grew up watching the Vols, Tennessee Walking Horse and of course, at age 5, the cheerleaders were #1 on my list!  LOL!    So glad they are finally upgrading -- how many seats will be lost with this renovation?
