If true, and I suspect it is, then expect the SEC to pick up a couple of teams from the ACC (and possibly 2 more (possibly ND and 1?) form the Big whatever) and the Big CC pick up a couple more possibly.  Then the ACC, Big 12 (or how many currently) and PAC 10 to combine into possibly two conferences.  Then the Power 5 becomes the Power 4

Who would the SEC pick up?
IMO Clemson and possibly F$U from the ACC and Baylor and ?? from the Big Whatever

If the contraction occurs I see Notre Dame to join the Big CC to protect their interests

The SEC going to a 9 game conference schedule would still allow every team to visit the other campus every 5 years, and yes no matter what the SEC is going to a 9 game schedule

I do like that the SEC has maintained some semblance of geographic cohesion in our expansion efforts, and I hope we will continue to do so. The B10 will now literally stretch from NYC to LA. Ridiculous.

I'm sure it comes as no surprise to anyone that I don't like it. I hate change.

I liked it better when we had the Southwestern Conference, the PAC 10 had teams actually on the west coast, the old Big 10 and whatever the Big 12 was (Big 8?), Maryland was in the ACC and Syracuse, BC, Louisville and Pitt were wherever they were.

Yes, we will have more "big" games, I assume, but the flavor has been lost.

I don't like it. I don't like it at all.

Now get off of my lawn.

I agree Droner. The whole world is topsy turvy. And not for the better.

This gives the B10 a presence in all of the top 3 media markets. But of those, CFB is less than an afterthought in NYC and LA, and to the extent that Chicago cares about it at all, it’s a ND town.

While the SEC remains King of the Hill we ought to do the right thing and invite WVU. I know they don't have any large television markets. Poor bastards. Wait a minute Clemson has no TV market either   fizzle it! My picks would be WVU, Virginia, Baylor, and FSU... why not lol

I think an NC school along with Virginia (or VTI), just so we capture the entirety of the old Confederacy

Virginia & North Carolina would be good... after that I don't really care.
