Secular is bad? I think he describes his politics as Anarcho-syndicalist, libertarian socialist.  He is an eminent scholar. He used to debate William F. Buckley, Jr. On various topics. Been around a minute. You think you know more history than Chomsky?

One problem I have with American conservativism is they seem to
believe that things followed a natural, organic if you will, evolution and are as they should be according to the natural laws of economics. Bullshizzle! Things are the way they are because those with power & money rigged it. Buying favor & influence. Where is that prescribed for in the Constitution? The paradigm is going to change.
