We are going to score gobs of points but give up gobs of points (secondary)....

It's going to be fun to watch.

The secondary is better than '22
How much better is TBD but at least we have faster, quicker athletes who you can time with a stopwatch, not a sun dial

Plus our front 7 should be like great, which should help the secondary by forcing quick releases from QBs. I think our secondary will benefit from the easy games up front and will be much better than many think by crunch time in the schedule comes around.

I think our DL is great, less sure about the LBs.

We likely will give up points, hopefully not too many.  Though it may not always have seemed like it, our defense was pretty good last year, 22nd in the country in points allowed. It wasn't that great against the better teams on our schedule though.

I also think that while our offense will be improved, it won't approach 2022 this year.  A projection I trust says we will score ~ 36 ppg, vs 46 ppg in the record setting 2022 and "only" 32 ppg last year.  I think we may do a little bit better, like say 38, but it won't be 46 again.

Next year we may well set a record if Nico fully develops this year.

Overall, I think this season may be a stepping stone where we get close to making the playoffs, but we will set ourselves up to be one of the favorites to win the SEC next year and be considered almost a lock for the playoffs.

Gibson has the potential to be a damn good cover corner.
It was interesting last year that the other teams threw away from him when he was in the games, including the Citrus Bowl

To your point, Boo has all the potential in the world at Star, just needs to continue to learn his craft and gets some PT/experience
I think that after the 1st open date, 2 "easier" games and we get to the Pig Pen his PT will go up considerably
