Really. There are open positions all across the board. Quite frankly, perhaps, even quarterback. With appropriate NIL money, there shouldn't be any position that a player couldn't find a place. |

It sounds like he submitted the paperwork to UT and they have 48 hrs to submit forward. During that 48hrs they can try to work with him to stay.

Presumably it's a money play, but I can also sell this argument.
"I want to play in the league after two more years in college. Nothing I've seen post-2022 makes me think UT is the place to showcase my talents."
If the above argument is the reason, delayed entry into the portal seems nonsensical.

I wish him well. However, there's too much smoke around Pope to think additional changes (perhaps simply stylistic) may need to occur.
