ACC was weak this season. I was wrong. They are pretty good. Bama killed it too. Seems like our A game does not look as good some other teams A game. But, luckily it doesn't take your A game to win some. Our defense is better than most of these teams. If is UK is on, we will have a struggle. They've "been on" the first two meetings.

I only saw the second game, the one in Knoxville, but what I saw was a lot of half-assed sloppy 3 point shots going in.  In other words, they hit a lot of lucky shots. I don't call that being "on", I call it luck.  Just MO, but I think the game yesterday gave me some verification.  Same half assed shots, but this time only a few went in.

They weren't all lucky- a lot them were just wide open because we didn't fight through screens and got picked off. That didn't happen last night. We defended the perimeter at all costs, and as a result gave up some cheap paint points (but not nearly enough to beat us).

I'm sure our D was more focussed, but they hit 3 or 4 threes in the 2nd half of that game with a Vol in their face, or off their back foot falling down, or both, whatever.  Better D yesterday for sure, but in a discussion about the home game below I did rant about how lucky their shots were.

We were more worried about their cut n drive than 3s and it killed us (really for the last 3 gan=mes (including the 2nd game last year
In the SW16 game we ran them off the 3 point line all game long and accepted the Williams drive and 2 point shot, which gve how much Felix and Cade leaned on him, flat wore him out
