Peterman is proof IMO...that our QB development sucks.
You guys worry too much. There's an unemployed QB out there that's ready to move into the coaching ranks and pass on some pretty good tips to our greener recruits. He may also become our new AD. Remember you heard it here first.

Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: So who else has completed that UTAD survey

Finally go to and filled out the survey. It was long and I almost lost the will to live before I got to the end. I do not even have to read between any lines to realize the price to attend games at Neyland is going up, up, up. My only beef is with the new SECNetwork contract is you cannot make plans for game day because you cannot plan on a start time because you do not know which network will carry it. Is it noon? 12:30? 3:30? 4:00? 5:00? 7:00? 7:30? At least at home, I always have the same seat.
I haven't seen the survey but if anyone was expecting it to lean towards fan convenience or making it more economical then they haven't been paying attention over the last several decades. For me, gameday doesn't have to be a life changing event, it just needs to include a victory.

Sports / VTTW Message Board / Happy Easter...

Has anyone seen those old fashioned easter eggs anywhere. I think they were referred to as marshmellow eggs. About the size of an elongated golf ball with hard outer coverings in different colors. Looked everywhere (well obviously I haven't looked everywhere if they are still out there) and can't find them. They were terrible to eat and served better as paperweights or doorstops. Just wanted to go back in time and punish some great-nephews and great-nieces tomorrow.

I still can't get my head around how mediocre the SEC is in basketball. Why don't kids come south to play? How can the other P5 conference's do that much better. From as far back as I can remember, it has been UK and then everybody else. It seems like the BIG, Big 12, ACC always have multiple good teams. Why hasn't the SEC made more strides at being dominate in basketball? Are there just that much fewer good HS basketball players in the south. Or do they all go north to play as well. That just sounds strange. Why won't the inner-city kids from Chicago, Philly and NY come south more often to go to school?
They would have to break their gang ties. Only half joking.

in the SEC tourney. A real beatdown vs Auburn. 97 to 59. Every year there seems to be a Cinderella team come crawling out of the woodwork. Why not us for a change? Personally I think we are going to be 2 and done. Gotta play Vandy next.

Peyton Manning might retire. Anybody heard anything or have a link to confirm this? Can't find it on Sportscenter, The NFL Network, local news, or radio. If true why are they keeping it so hush-hush?

Local sports TV 5 started the rumblings of whether HBCHW can keep her job. I think the experiment has failed and it's time to move on. They have spiraled downward at an ever increasing pace and the quicker we get a big time new coach the sooner we can get back to the level we were accustomed. I say we go after Geno A. (edit) or Jon Gruden.

Not defending Cams behavior but anthem etiquette depends on which version you adhere to. Stand and face the flag (if there is one in sight) is the norm. Hand over heart seems optional from the sites I looked at except for the military which is different. Hats and other head coverings removed (at least for men) seems universally recommend. When I was a kid and recited the pledge of allegiance in class hand over heart was what was required but not during the anthem. Don't know when hand over heart became the thing to do. What Cam did is unacceptable under any circumstances. I really used to like the guy even with his showboating antics...might have something to do with overcoming a 24 point deficit vs some team when he was at Auburn.
