I have not gotten it once since I finished cleanup. Did you get it before or after you read my post about the cleanup?
After Admittedly a small sample but I got 2-3 500 errors just trying to make the post. The board does seem faster, again with a small sample size and on just one machine and network

Anything in PolitiVOL, the Ticket Exchange, the Test Forum, and the Archive (which is where deleted posts end up) that hasn't been touched in the last year is gone. Anything in the main forum that hasn't been touched in 2 years is now gone. Tables have been optimized, logs have been cleaned up, etc.
The board seems faster to me now. Maybe this will fix the "internal server error" issues. If anybody sees that, let me know.
I will try to do a better job of staying on top of this going forward.
Still getting Error 500 - Internal server error An internal server error has occured! Please try again later.

ATLANTA (AP) -- A former University of Georgia football coach has been accused in court documents of making millions of dollars from a Ponzi scheme.
The federal documents filed this week in bankruptcy court in Ohio contend that Jim Donnan and his wife, Mary, attracted investments for GLC Ltd., which filed for bankruptcy in February.
The documents claim the Donnans made commissions for new investments. It claims Donnan invested more than $5.4 million in the company and that his family ultimately made more than $14.5 million.
Donnan and his wife filed for bankruptcy protection this month. GLC is being restructured, and the documents were filed by the company's current operators.
Donnan's attorney, Ed Tolley, didn't return calls seeking comment Saturday, but he has denied allegations of wrongdoing.
It was a German ponzi scheme: http://volstothewall.com/board/index.php?topic=20487.0

Thank you. That is all. Carry on.

A lot of fans have that perception but I don't think that's factual at all. They will spend money and have spent it, they just haven't been great at talent evaluation lately.

Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Early Tailgate Notices
|
on: July 08, 2011, 12:29:49 EDT

We are currently looking at the tailgate location since The Credit Union is doing some things but will probably be in the same place as last year> I will try to keep everyone apprised of where are going to be. For the first game I have already made a plan......
One of my loves in cooking is doing a Fusion of Southern methods of prep or Southern materials with a different style of prep than Southerners normally do. This year for the first game will see a return of the Music City Bowl Gyro Fest with some great Lamb and Beef Gyros but (wait for it) the twist will be is that I am going to smoke the meat after marinating in the gyro seasoning mixture. By using some milder woods I think a new great gyro sandwich can be developed that will make the tzatiki sauce even better with the meat and the meat will be tender and delicious.
So keep a watch on this site for more Tailgate updates and we will see you the first week in September.
I'm in - they were GREAT at the MCB!

I knew when you wanted to absolutely kill everything in an area the AC-130 was the tool for the job. I did not know the Warthog had so much firepower though. I also did not know the Warthog was as nimble and agile as it is. That was some impressive aerobatics. The most impressive aerial demonstration I saw (before the F-22) was an A-10. You have to know the airfield layout to get the full effect but he took off in minimum distance, sucked the gear up and rolled to 60 degrees right and racked the aircraft around the control tower, waving to the contollers as his canopy passed by the tower cab. Very impressive beginning to the demonstration. As for Spectre (actually Spooky since it was an AC-130U), "You can run but you will only die tired." It's too bad none of the video is in the public domain but the the video of the two gunships taking down the Comandancia (sp) in Panama City the first night of the Panama take over was VERY impressive.

We are two+ deep with quality young players. Don't underestimate the arrival and NCAA clearance of Alex Bullard, and the signing of Tiny Richardson. Throw them into the mix with Stone, Fulton, and James and you've got the cornerstone of a football team. This is where the return of UT football begins... the offensive line. The defensive line needs to be built up still, but the most important thing in football is the offensive line. You must run the ball and you must protect the passer. Everything else in the game keys off it. If you have a great offensive line you can keep the ball away from the other offense. You can wear opposing defenses down for the fourth quarter. You stay on the field with great OLs. Our greatest teams have had great OL and that time is coming. I think they will be really good this year. 2012 and 2013, barring injury and attrition, are going to be a return to GREAT OLs.
No doubt in my mind.

Let me add tangentially, that I find the appearance that W put out, which you seem to like, to do nothing but piss me off. W was said to be big on always wearing a suit, always being on time, always being very formal.
Hey, I have nothing against that per se, it's just his style. But no amount of surface appearance things can hide the fact that he was IMO an incompetant boob. Here are some problems I had with W (who I voted for in 2000, BTW):
1. The entire "Mission Accomplished" ceremony was almost like a bad joke. 2. During that ceremony, he wore a military flight suit. I suppose he had a right to do so, having (somewhat) been a member of the National Guard. Do you know what President absolutely REFUSED to wear his uniform while in office? Dwight D Eisenhower. The leader of the armies of the free world during WWII in Europe, the architect of D-Day, the Supreme Commander in Chief of the Western front of the European conflict and HE REFUSED TO WEAR HIS UNIFORM as President! Versus...a guy that joined the National Guard to avoid Vietnam, had a pretty lackluster record doing it, and then fought some half-ass war against a vastly overmatched 3rd world country that had been boycotted for 10 years and was barely functional...and W wears a uniform to celebrate "Mission Accomplished" (which was NOT accomplished, BTW). You know what leaders like to wear uniforms? Third world dictators, especially Latin American ones. So what are we, the leaders of the Free World or a fizzleing banana republic? What a fizzleing TOOL W is. 3. W never fired a single person over 9-11. The NSC head survived, the CIA head survived, the FBI head survived, the DIA head survived, no one at the Pentagon was sacked. Where was the accountability?
So, yeah, if you actually think a guy that barely served in the military at all, then WORE HIS fizzleING FLIGHT SUIT on the deck of a carrier to celebrate a mission that was NOT accomplished is somehow better than a guy with no tie, then more power to you.
4. Do you know why we have to put up with Obama? Because W was an incompetant BOOOOOB! His ratings bottomed out at TWENTY TWO fizzleING PERCENT!!!! THat's lower than any sitting PResident since Nixon. SPeaks volumes.
You do realize that he had just flown in on a Navy jet don't you? W joined the ANG when he had no real worry about being drafted and oh by the way VOLUNTEERED to go to 'nam! I find your slander og W a bit over the top! The "one" HIRED the inompetent boob who was responsible for building the wall during the Clinton administration that DIRECTLY led to the failures of 9/11 - you see, Kamie had built the wall that prevented the information from the CIA to be passed to the FBI - wo what the fizzle do you expect W's administration to do? So I guess votoing "present" is better?? W was a LEADER, the "one" had to be literally yanked from a golfcourse to to attend an op, that he then took ALL the fizzleing credit for - see the "I" speach Sunday night.
