Back when Mizzou and The Aggies were added, Texas and Oklahoma had the opportunity to be part of the expansion, but for competitive reasons they chose to turn tail and run like cowards.
I say fizzle 'em. They need the SEC a whole lot more than the SEC needs them. Let them go to the PAChowevermanyschoolsthereareinitnow where their road games can start at 10:30 eastern on some obscure Fox affiliated station that 95% of Americas don't get with their TV package.

I hope you’re right, but I imagine the MLBPA would scream bloody murder. And with talks for a new CBA looming, I would guess that Manfred and co. will fold pretty quickly on this one. They have no compunction about screwing Atlanta over, anyway. Yep. Why I think there will be a one time settlement for him to go away. Not sure the powers that be in Atlanta give a rats ass about what Manfred does at this point. What else can he do to them? The owners aren't going to support taking the franchise away or forcing them to move to another state. It could be them on that end of the gun one day.

Theoretically, they should probably be buyers. But I’m not sure they can afford it. It sounds like they’re struggling to even make a deal to keep Freddie Freeman. Plus, they’re probably going to still be on the hook for Ozuna’s deal for the next 5 years.
I would expect them to add a couple bullpen arms, but that’s probably about it. If they do anything “major”, they’ll probably give up way too much to bring Adam Duvall back.
I read this past week that Ozuna's deal would be voided by Major League Baseball for violating the morals clause in the contract. Probably be a drastically reduced settlement to avoid a lawsuit, but he will be fortunate to get anything.

I'm still waiting on video of MSU fans allegedly hurling racist language at the Vandy parents, like the Vandy AD has asserted. With people videoing everything in life these days, there has got to be some out there if it really happened. We haven't seen a thing to this point.
That said, it's been 4 days and there is nothing out there nor have any witnesses come forward. I'm beginning to believe that it was just a bunch of butthurt Vandy types whining and trying to avert the attention away from the way they actually got to the final series.

And Middleton is also gone. We're not losing production, but we are losing potential. Oh well, it's not like our defense was going to be great this year anyway.
Pretty sure I posted that this was coming weeks ago. Middleton was Gitshirted.

I prefer the classic look but then I'm not 18-22 years old. Sometimes they just need to be told no. This is one of those times.

OTOH, I've heard that coach Garner is not all that sorry to see him go ... Understand. I'm all for culling the herd when necessary. There are a couple more in that unit who need to hit the bricks, as well. Would be nice to actually put DLmen on the DL, however.

I thought the coach was spot on in his not answering those questions. It's none of the media's damned business. Vaccines aren't infallible and it's nobody else's business if one chooses to have a vaccine or not, and especially college aged athletes who are in the lowest risk group, at virtually zero.
And here's the rub:
The NCAA let the entire NCSU team back in to Ameritrade this morning to take a picture. And every member of the team and coaching staff can buy a ticket for today's and the championship series games and sit shoulder to shoulder with other fans, but yet they can't play on the field?
Yeah, that makes a hellofalot of sense.
And while I have a lot of respect for Tim Corbin and what he has done with that program, this will forever be known as the Asterisk CWS, especially if Vandy wins it.
I'll be pulling for either Mississippi Mistake or Texas in the championship series.

It hasn't slowed down in over a year. Interest rates have gone up a little but it hasn't affected things much. Sometimes it even stirs people up to refinance or go ahead and buy a home. The problem is that there is a shortage of homes to buy.
Yep, and with that shortage the prices being paid for what homes are available are through the roof. Simply incredible. And it's pretty much everywhere right now. One of my son's neighbors in northern Virginia bought his house a year and a half ago, and he is being transferred and sold his house for literally double what he paid. And sold it within 2 hours of it going on the market sight unseen by a buyer being transferred in from California. He bought the drinks when we were visiting my son and grandkids last week. Blows my mind.
