1. "Just give it the Henry" - 98 Arkansas game. STILL one of my favorite VOL videos
2. Pandemonium Reigns: 1998 UT vs. Florida. "Al Wilson again - Exactly" I just watched that game on youtube last week. Al was all over the field and that pick by Grant was a thing of beauty and saved a sure TD by the crocs. Offensively we did just enough.
3. 85 Sugar VOLS. Watching Benny "World Class" Blades get smoked by a REAL track star. "Testerverdi is going to be SACKED!"
4. The countdown to "The National Champion is clad in Big Orange!" The pick 6, the two long passes, one for a TD. It was aparent that our staff had no respect for their secondary.
5. Lofton's in your face trey to beat Tejas
6 The miracle at South Bend. "It is NO good, it is NO Good!!"
7. Braves Win! Braves Win! Braves Win! Braves Win!! Braves Win! Braves Win! (yes Skip screamed it six ties). The Sid Bream slide to beat the Pirates in the NLCS.
8. Ernie & Bernie, pick a game. "KING of the Volunteers!"
9. The "block" against o'cryo state to make it to the Elite 8.
10. 2001 beating the crocs in the swamp. BGS was electric that night. We had a great day tailgating with our gator friends from Mud's place and then watched Stephens run wild n the swamp. "That's why you came to Tennessee!"

The 2005 LSU game. It's a damn shame that this game has been lost in the context of a horrible season, because in and of itself, it was as satisfying a win as I can remember. When that game ended, I was lamenting the fact that I didn't know any LSU fans I could talk trash to.
Ahhh yes, the night of the drunk corndogs.  Bandit and I pitching up with 50 or so other VOL fans, putting up with the loudmouth, drunk, obnoxious (but I repeat myself) corndogs in our face but leaving early, before we had even tied the game up. The suddenly quiet corndogs not liking me pointing out that they had their loudly, repeatedly shouted demand for Clausen to play met.  I remember well after the game had ended a corndog that still had his head in hs hands trying to figure out how Miles had blown the game. Also, Trooper darn near knocking me half way to Knoxvegas with a chest bump after the game, and coach Caldwell with one of the biggest stoogies smiling in content after the game. Amazingly enough, their were no drunk corndogs around to rock the buses or break a window with their beer cans after the game.  |

But moving south makes it a little more bearable. Boxes packed and loaded on the truck which will be headed down to k-ville on thursday. Since there is nothing going on on saturday, feel free to drop by and help me find all th important crap...like my golf clubs and Auburn beer mug.
Later this year we will be making at least our 13th move in 33 years. |

Tony Pagano Yep, tore the tendon away from the bone and tore each of the muscles in the hamstring muscle group. Consultation with surgeon tomorrow (today) now. When I decide to do something, apparently I do it all the way! ;-) This happened on Sunday, while water skiing . Having had a similar hamsting injury, he will prbably be on inured reserve till the UGA game, not counting the time for the tendon reattachment. In any case painful. Best wishes to a speedy recovery for Tony! |

It's a 6:00 p.m. kickoff, but we should be set up early -- probably by noon so we can watch the early game(s). Please feel free to join us, especially if you are a visiting Montana fan and/or VTTW poster/lurker.  Below is a map showing our location. We are set up right behind the UTAD tailgate area (between their large orange and white canopy and the building) and we're still using the orange canopy covers with the white Power Ts on them (two canopies). Stop in and say hello and share some of the food and drinks. There is no need to bring anything unless you want something in particular or just want to bring something to share. We will have steak and Italian sausage sandwiches, and we usually get some hot dogs. We also bring cookies and chips/dip. If you have any special requests, just let me know, and feel free to bring anything else you want. Hope to see you there!  Working with Emeril, I should be bringing some gyro fixings for UTMom and others. opefully the DDP cans will be larger this year ...?  |

My main purpose for stopping by was to share my sympathy for your truly great coach Pat Summitt. When was the last time you heard a Tide fan say UT's coach was great? Well, she is and we Tide fans have known that for years...a great person too...so classy!
My mother in law has had this problem for the past few years, and now it appears she is in the latter stages. This thing is so hard on my wife and her family, as it will be on Coach Summitt's family. They are the ones that will really need the support from the UT faithful.
On brighter news, I'm impressed with Mr. Dooley and the way he is handling things in his program. In the long run, it will help your program immensely. Again, color me impressed by this young coach and his willingness to do things the right way.

Mostly Bill Dyer and John Ward. Some of my first memories were reading the Dyergrams on Sunday mornings, then I graduated to listening to John. The Swamp Rat was my first favorite and yes Emeril the Crossville Comet (and later Blue Angel #2) is still one of my fav RBs (though the raw bacon types in Fayeteville might not share our view ...). Oh, Mrs PV claims that ReVOLver and certain other orangelife's around here turned me into a ORANGE & WHITE FANATIC. |
