Now if you're an environmental nutcase, then you will probably want LED or LCD because they uses less power than the plasma. Did not mean to offend anyone. I left off the smiley face.

Plasma gives the best picture hands down if you can control the lighting. Reflection off the glass front is the biggest problem for plasma sets.

I don't have a problem with him choosing to go for it. Our kickers have been pitiful all year and Palardy was hurt last week. Was he even back to 100%? I do believe that Palardy also hammered that 12 yard punt in the second half. Second, going for it on fourth is always, always, always going to make you look like a hero or a goat. Did you have a problem with the onside kick against Cincy with the score tied at 7? I think probably not. Why? Because it worked. The fake didn't cost us the game. I would point a more accusing finger at the int. to end the half as the play that really hurt. We score there and we're only down 7 (that was a gift on a punt return). Instead we go into the half pretty much deflated and the rest is history.

Season starts in January and ends in December. Watching cars go around in circles all year long. Now they are messing with my football game because of RAIN! Slap some wipers on those darned cars and stop messing with what others want to watch. Heck, it will just make more accidents for the highlight reels.

I agree, I wasn't an early adopter either. My first BluRay player and the one I have on my man cave TV now is a $29 Magnavox Black Friday special from 2 black Fridays ago. And I bought T a refurb Sammy multifunction off of Woot when we moved for $99. Woot! I didn't figure many here knew about it. You might also want to investigate 1saleaday. I think they have better stuff than woot.

DVD PLayer Cost: 45 BluRay Player Cost (Standard): 70
Let me see...buy 20 year old tech or buy 5 year old tech....duh (homer simpson voice)
It's about not buying anything. The next one I buy will be BR. It will also be wireless and stream netflix (and everything else) directly from my router. As of now, my existing players work great. I won't toss them just to get a small improvement. Heck, I skipped the whole Windows Vista experience and jumped straight to Windows 7 and I didn't miss anything except the hassles that everyone else had to go through who did buy it. Once again, BR ain't done yet. I will second the Harmony remote though. I have one and it works great.

Am I the only person who doesn't have a Blu Ray player?
Don't worry. The vast majority of all broadcasts are only at best done in 720p. BR is only a factor if you watch a BR movie. My dvd collection has very few of those. You ain't late for this party. I figure most here are victims of the 'keeping up the the Joneses' phenomenon.

The one thing that I think is lost on many is that a game like this underlines the importance of basic football. The things that have been overshadowed by gaudy offensive numbers in recent times. Case in point was where LSU punted from deep in their territory and the Bama receiver let it go over his head, hit the ground and roll for 72 yards and no return. That was HUGE! Blocking, tackling, lining up, penalties, clock management, kicking, turnovers, etc. all were key in how this game went. I have to say that I loved it. It would have been even better if we were in it. I wonder if Coach Dooley will use this to teach our guys a thing or two?

What did we do. Score 7 against lsu and 3 against bama? Neither one score at TD tonight. Pretty good D on both sides. Just saying...

I would not mind seeing a rematch of this game. Great defense. Our guys need to watch this game and aspire to get better.

We need to get these kickers in the training room to toughen them up. These aren't the same soft balls they used to kick in high school. These are big time college football balls.

The one that had me screaming was the 4th down by Worley. Out tailback just stood behind and watched Worley struggling trying to make 6 inches. Comon man! Stick you head and shoulders in there and move the pile 6 lousy inches. That play absolutely killed me. Watch the bama game and see how many times the bama RB was stopped cold just to have one or two bama players slam into the pile and start it moving forward 1, 2, 3, or more yards. I'm not sure who the back was on our play but he needs a good chewing out for that none effort on such a critical down.
