team after this game, they're running/throwing QB will be a challenge for our defense to remain disciplined and patient. We have plenty of weapons on offense, if the OL is adequate we should be able to score. My greatest concern is from all of the reports I've heard that the DL simply can't stop the run....if teams can run at will we won't win many SEC games. I'm hoping the upgrade in talent is enough to get us to at least 6-6 this year since we came so close last year and should have won at least 1 more game than we did.

some football. I know we're young, but for the first time in years I know we have good talent, thin in depth I know but we have good talent, and we have a coach and staff that know football and are committed to The University of Tennessee. I'd love to see the team stay healthy and sneak up on a couple of teams and end up with 8 wins...that'd be great, I'm tired of the "hoping to make a bowl" mentality....we're Tennessee, 2nd in bowl appearances all-time dadgumit! I'm pumped and hope team 118 learns fast and plays 'til the last whistle blows....GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!!!

Solid prospect, but he is a 2016 prospect. We need a quarterback NOW.
You don't sound as though you believe that Worley or Dobbs will be reborn hard as a result of the QB camp they both attended. I hope one of them steps up because I think our final record is going to depend greatly on QB play....our D is going to be very young and/or inexperienced and they will more than likely give up points and yardage regularly, we will need to score and with our new OL and very talented receiver corps I think our best chance for out scoring our opponents is going to be in the passing game. We will need a QB that makes the correct read VERY quickly and delivers the ball in stride to avert sacks and allow the receivers to gain lots of YAC yardage.

like the Redskins before free agency ruined football for me. I like the Braves and don't really follow any other sports.....so really the Vols are the only team I would call "my team" 'cause I'm not as big a baseball fan as I used to be.

Two games this season that are of the utmost importance: Utah State and Florida.
Florida is a game Tennessee probably shouldn't win but could. Win that one and Butch Jones cements himself with the fanbase (there are still doubters out there), gives recruits something more than blind faith to hang their hats on, and injects a huge shot of energy into the program. Florida is down, but that game could still be the catalyst for a return to big-time football for UT.
Utah State is a game Tennessee probably shouldn't lose but could. Lose that one and another season of bowl ineligibility becomes likely. The fans will be grumbling, and Butch will have an uphill battle in front of him. I won't go so far as to say it's a "must win," but for a second year coach in his first game of the second season, it's probably as close as you'll come to a must win game.
If those two play out as they'll be widely expected to play out, the Ole Miss game becomes the one that matters. Get that win, finish 6-6 and bowl eligible, and look forward to a big step forward in 2015.

their size and the fact that they had played together so long....they never impressed me. I cringed every time I heard "one of the best OLs in the country". They were decent pass blockers and less than average at run blocking, this is one reason I don't think we'll notice a huge difference in the young OL, if they are good players that should offset their lack of experience and we shouldn't notice a big drop off.

customer service has always been very courteous and effective and as Gregg said, we couldn't beat their price either. I'm thinking of calling to say I'm considering switching just to see what perks they might offer....it's usually premium channels which I don't care about anyway but hey it's always worth checking.

what I saw in the SB and if they hope to win a SB that OL (the one that played in the SB) is going to need an overhaul....the Seahawks D just went through them like a hot knife through butter. That was the most dominant I've seen one team over another in a SB and I attributed it to Denver's weak line play.
