made 'em do it again and again and again!  I've never seen so many gentle giants in my life! After nearly every play that isn't a down field pass you can count on there being 5-7 defensive guys on our ball carrier while all 5 of our great OL men are standing near the original line of scrimmage watching....blocking NO ONE....WATCHING. 

doing good to go 6-6 and that 7-5 would be great. I got blasted for pointing out that our OL was over rated and received high acclaim based on years of playing time, but they are soft not bulldozers like Bama. Butch, I think, is a real football coach and he is a worker with a plan...give him 2-3 years and I'm confident we will be back in the hunt year in and year out.

apparent understanding and awareness shown by Dobbs Sat, he also seemed to have good zip on the ball as well as touch when called for...his mobility adds another dimension that the D will have to be aware of....I think with a week of preparing as the starter he can only improve even further....look out Mizzou THE VOLS ARE A COMIN'. 

matter where they get the ball, they'll simply march down the field and wear our defense down....I don't fear their pass game nearly as much as their run game. We have to keep our D as fresh as possible which means very few 3 and outs on offense and keeping Bama's run game under control. Turnovers would definitely help our offense and we really need a couple, the scoring variety would be greatly appreciated. GO BIG ORANGE!!!!

he had coached and his record, but after listening to him, his staff and the players, and watching his team, it's obvious Butch is a football coach and Kiffin and Dooley just happened to be guys who coached football. Butch knows how to build a team and has a plan for doing that, I'm confident he, and we, will be successful if the university supports him.  

while and would probably at least give us a chance to match any offer, others I'm not so confident but, like you, I've said I hope the university/donors make the money necessary to keep these guys together for at least 4 yrs.

The Dr said it looked like scar tissue and to have it looked at in a year....that seemed strange to me that a Dr would want to wait that long to take a second look but I ain't no doctor. in Security Forces at Eglin in Fla. He was expecting to go on his second deployment and I'm sure he's concerned this could keep him back. My wife and I are very concerned...doesn't matter how old they get or how big and tough, or how many weapons they are qualified with....they're still our "kids".  

in the ER. He puked 12 times during a PT test and his NCOIC took him to the ER, they're doing a CAT scan soon of his abdomen, the doctors observed soreness and hardness.

like it but if I were 21 with a chance to make millions and had witnessed my teammate (Lattimore) blow out both knees and had witnessed numerous other great athletes seemingly hurt themselves by getting in trouble etc. only to go on and suffer little, if any, negative consequences by making a great showing in the NFL combine....I might be tempted to cruise through my last year too. Even if he doesn't have great stats this year, he's proven what he can do and if he stays in peak shape and does well at the combine he's gonna get the bucks.

huge in giving time for Worley and the receivers. I said early in the year I thought the OL needed to become better run blockers to make the defenses more honest, you MUST have balance against good competition or they'll eat you alive. The defense didn't seem to have so many plays where they took horrible angles and missed the tackle, maybe they are gaining experience and confidence that will show up in W's. I hope with a week off to rest and scheme we can have a good performance against SC and give Spurrier a big slice of humble pie!  

I don't retract anything I've said as I think his stats bear criticism. He played well in the 2nd half but still was barely above 50% for the game, it was his best half of football no doubt and I respect him for giving his all but that one half of football doesn't make him a good QB. He may have a great rest of the year and if he does I'll be the first to say so but he hasn't played well consistently thus far. I think Butch is a real football coach and not just someone who coaches football (i.e. Dooley). I hope he's here for a good long time as I think he'll restore us to a competitive level. 

the players and staff for Sat....they each truly gave their all for Tennessee.  WHAT A GAME! I so wanted a win for the team, staff and fans....it's been so long coming. I can't wait to see what Butch and staff can do after a couple of good recruiting classes.
