The LV's have won three out of three on this hyphenated coast to coast road trip. They beat DePaul and Rutgers, came back to Knoxville for 36 hours and then went to California. But now they go to Stanford. It will be tough to win that one. They must be a little leg weary by now.

Thanks for asking! Kim Crawford Unoaked Chardonnay (Marlborough) (2009)($17.00) A very good white from New Zealand. Chardonnay that's smooth and fruity with that clean bite of acidity on the finish. It's an 87 point wine for $17.00. Should be widely available even in grocery stores which is where I got this one.

Stainless Steel??
The California style of Chardonnay is too much oak. Too big, too buttery and oaky. This wine was aged in fermented in oak but still kept it's crisp acidity. More in the French style of Sancerre.

Thanks for asking! Enkidu Sauvignon Blanc (2009)($24.00) Very good California white. Oak is used but this wine still has bright fruit flavors and good acidity. The winery chose not to make Sauvignon Blanc in the California Chardonnay style that became the rage in the last few years. A good buy for 24 bucks.

No. No, I'm quite sure you won't. I've worn an ear-flap fur hat while hunting. I looked a lot of things...cool wasn't one of them. ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/dance.gif) Well there's your problem. A fur hat? You must have looked like a Russian. My hat makes me look more like a bumpkin.

I think that the Manning snub was more of a ratings thing. Manning was the pre-season odds-on favorite. That doesn't make for interest and suspense. It doesn't provide good ratings for the Heisman show. ESPN/ABC needed someone they could hype to create interest. With Woodson, they not only got that but someone from a team in a conference which they televised. Double win for them.
I really don't think they cared who won the award. In fact, Manning winning it might have been better for them. But they got the interest and saved the ratings.

That is interesting, and further makes me believe that Crowell is not going to be a dawg in 2012.
The scuttlebutt from UGA fans here is that with the signing of Marshall, Crowell is on thin ice. If they get another good RB the ice might be very thin.

There were only 6 coaches that did not vote OK St. #3. Cutcliffe-Bama fan Pinkel, Mo. coach-headed to SEC and probably no fan of OK St. David Shaw, Stanford coach- his vote for Stanford over OK St. is understandable. Saban-Has vested interest Also Calhoun of Air Force and Marrone of Syracuse. Voting for your team over another team in order to better your chances of getting in the BCS Championship game is understandable. Not necessarily honest, but understandable. Voting for another team over the team that might pass you in the BCS ratings carries a perception of shenanigans. This one has the stink of shenanigans.

Um, you're a little late... ![](https://volstothewall.com/board/Smileys/default/wavey.gif) I don't read the posts. I just respond to them. Um....I was in a hurry. I was on a lunch break from a seminar and posted quickly without reading all of the posts. Which I don't read anyway.

Well, I hate to ruin a good story, but Spurrier never made the remarks that riled up Dabo. The USC announcer, Todd Ellis said that at the end of the USC/tiglets game. The story in the paper today cleared it up. Apparently Dabo is feeling some heat since the season melted and he's beginning to melt. And many tiglet fans aren't fond of him anyway. Now there's more heat because OC Morris might be wanted by other schools, perhaps Ohio State.
