It was in an AP article on the UGA/LSU game. There were two normal paragraphs, then there in a paragraph all by itself was the word. Not capitalized.

I can honestly say that I've never seen that happen before.

To be honest, I don't think I want a CFB playoff.. For the sake of meaningful regular season games.

I don't know why regular season games would become less meaningful if there was playoff. UT/Bama would still mean a lot. USC/tiglets, UF/FSU, Bama/Auburn, OSU/Michigan would always be important. Conference games would be inportant. The other non-rival/non-conference games would mean a lot because you would need to win in order to make the playoff (probably 8 teams).

It's not the same as in college BB. There are numerous games that don't mean much, unless you lose too many of them. But I can't see regular season FB games becoming less meaningful.

Usually red wines with red meat, white with white. But a good Pinot Noir can go with turkey.

There is no outrage when it goes in your favor. Just as the Gators had no outrage when it went in their favor.

Pretty sure the official replay that the officials use has no sound.  I think I've heard that before.  Regardless, there clearly was a whistle.  I heard it live, even before they showed the replay.  Some official incorrectly blew it dead and then wouldn't own up to it when he saw the replay.  At least they got it right in the end...somehow.

Yep, either an official realised that he had incorrectly blown the whistle at the moment he blew it or he looked at the Jumbotron and realised it and wouldn't say he had whistled it.

I don't know about the replay. I think I've seen replays concerning the whistle but maybe that was the pros.

Still, it was the right result even if the play call was blown by the official.

The play and the TD were earned. But the refs said there was no whistle and I heard a whistle. And so did the announcers. If there was a whistle, would the play be subject to a challenge?

I'll take it regardless.
