After Kentucky, I thought we might go 0-3 on the homestand.  Will take 2-1 and off to Oklahoma. 

I like the selection.  Keep it in the Vol family that understands and appreciates the role, fan passion, and history of the program. 

Almost worse than the game was the next day, I have OSU fans that are customer's of mine and we talked prior to the game about the stadium and places to go when I was there.  Nether of them went to the game.  They both texted me wanting to know what I thought of the Horseshoe and how it was a great place.  I had to choose my words carefully.  It's like telling someone that believes they know how to sing or cook . . . that they can't. 

I am glad I made the trip and with the exception of the team's performance, had a good time.  I didn't encounter any disrespectful OSU fans and wasn't trying to provoke any either.  Our pregame spots were the Varsity Club  and the O on Lane.  The O felt like the old O'Charley's back in the day. The Shoe was a HUGE disappointment.  Not talking about the bathroom or steps up to the C level seats or concessions.  I am talking the pregame, and the crowd was not lout at all. I thought the dotting of the I would be more attention grabbing with lights and a callout like our Power T or Running Through The T.  I missed it and was watching the field.  An SEC team at night, I was expecting Florida, Georgia, or Bama energy/noise as a visiting fan and got maybe Miss State.  I was shocked I could talk to my friends as if we were sitting at home watching on TV. If that's an example of a Big 10 game atmosphere, it is clearly JV level. 

I am ready for the first poll that counts to be released on Tuesday, see where we are, and then adjust any thinking.  All the rest of the talk is just a bunch of noise up to this point to sell ratings and clicks.

You know Rocco's is missing LSU not being in the field.  If my memory is correct, they do well in these types of competitions. 

I hope that is the 2023 ugly shooting display for the postseason and now out of the way.  In the back of my mind, I know they can exist with this team.  Credit to Miss State for playing tougher and influencing those shots but that was just a pathetic effort all the way around.  Unless Barnes knows something we don't and wanted a 2 or 3 seed vs the last 1 (which I doubt), his rep is still intact.  I am really hoping that he can shed that with this team.

I live in Spring Hill and have followed the Wade twins since they were in 6th grade.  They are incredibly gifted athletes and have made every coach they play for look better than they are. I don't know if the supporting cast is good enough to beat Oakland but driving over to Chattanooga to find out.   

It was cool to see the letters.  It would be great to the Orange letters back where they belong and if the white letters could be permanent somewhere around the stadium, even better. 

I predict the hype train will be fully loaded after the first 50 we score in a game and win by a comfortable margin.  Some fans have selectively short memories.

I agree.  Heupel and his offense I look forward to watching this Fall.  He does not bother me as the HC.  The most important hire or announcement is the D Coordinator.  That guy had better be good.

Have a feeling that Titan's might be drafting in the 1st round single digits for a couple years.  Wonder if next year's QB class is projected to be any better and they can spend this early draft pick on another position.  Not really sold on either QB to take that hight.  I heard Mel Kiper touting a Missouri LB to Titan's with the 2nd pick last night.

I think it is more playing the Sr.

With the extra practices, the bowl game is a victory already. Now ready to get the W on the field.

I agree.  With Bama being the only SEC potential for the playoff I predict some shady calls against Missouri in the 2nd half if the game is close.

Rest assured the chickens will be fired up to play us after last year's game.

I hate to see that. Hope that jerk of a person gets theirs. Classless in every way towards this team.

I just wish him embarrassment on his way out the door in Gainesville.  The chant was uncalled for but so are the comments.  Wonder if he is 2nd guessing that coach in waiting gig back in Austin.  When his time finally comes, I hope the game before is just a total embarrassment.  I guess that would be Florida State.  Could easily happen.

Now the fun starts. A full week of hearing about it on sports talk here in Nashville. Guess it will be a week of Jack FM for me. 104.5 and Wycheck will whine all week.

If the crowd brings the energy early to match that of the Utah St game, our team will feed of that.  Florida is very talented, just coached badly.  I think UT plays sound D and does just enough on offense to get the W.  20-16.

The magical Sunday where I reconfirm the Europeans I will root against in all US based golf tournaments for the next two years.

Who am I kidding, I root against all Europeans in all PGA events. These are just the top of that group.

It's not about talent gap anymore. It's just youth. Georgia was fortunate today. Vols are back and ready to be a force in the SEC. The Dooley damage has been repaired by Butch. The mindset was the last hurdle.  Rucker and the rest of those blow hands had better get ready to eat crow and beg for readership.  

Feel the same way. He is easily the second coming of Colin Montgomery. Can't stand either of them.

I think another headache is building in Columbus....cue the daughter.

There were big plays by the OU offense but our D was able to catch and tackle them before they scored.  Last couple years those plays are TD's and we are getting blown out.  Our defensive speed is finally getting back to where it needs to be.  I thought it might be there in the first two games but the opponents were not SEC caliber like OU.
