Tennessee State has offered my granddaughter an awesome scholarship to come play softball with them. My son is checking the school out well.....we know it's traditionally black school -- currently about 30% white. But she likes the area and he's checking out other schools too.

TSU is a great way to go. I do adjunct work with Nashville State's logistics program (on campus when I lived in the mid-state, now on-line), and a lot of our students of all shapes, sizes, and colors go on to TSU. It's a personal thing, but were I a college student, I think I'd prefer Nashville to the 'Boro.

That sounds like a terrific deal too! As one who paid back a chunk in student loans, I'd recommend a route that includes as much paid-for stuff as possible.

My older brother that lives in Murphysboro said he didn't like the area the school is in.....but I think her Dad has done some research and it's much lesser crime rate than her going to Ga Tech or Ga State in Atlanta. She may get other offers and she may decide to stay home....we'll see. But it's a great deal for her and almost a free education! :)

That is really great Becky! Lots of luck to her as well as her mom and dad in making the decision
