I suspect the offense will be fine once they get Ahuna and Merritt back. Not up to last year's level, but enough to win most games. But the sloppy defense and baserunning blunders are concerning.

They didn't look good defensively tonight, at least imo. I have no idea what Denton was thinking on that attempt to third. Bats definitely weren't there this weekend either.

That was Little League base running horrible....It was 2 outs with a 3-2 count and he wasn't running on the flipping pitch.

Base running was a issue last year too and stupid defense at times....This team isn't very good right now....

The good news is they now have a while to figure it out. UCSD tomorrow should be a gimme. They're one of the worst teams in D1. After that, it's all cupcakes at home until SEC play starts (excepting a series vs Gonzaga- they should be pretty good). So they have about a month to fix what ails them.
