  Great coach. I remember in those days it was Royal at Texas and Broyles at Arkansas.
  When Bear Bryant was in a really bad slump and desperately needing something to turn his team around, he went to Texas to see Darrell Royal. Royal taught him everything he needed to know to run the wishbone offense. Bryant went back to Alabama and immediately installed it as the offense his team would employ. It was so successful that championships soon followed! So, Royal pulled the ole bear out of the grease on that one.
