...but why does the SEC even bother operating under the guise of "automatic" play reviews? Game after game we see instances of plays that clearly are questionable enough to be reviewed by the replay official, and it isn't reviewed. Mathieu's punt return should have never ended in a touchdown. That clearly should have been a fumble. Maybe an illegal forward pass, but I think a fumble. Either way, the ball did not cross the goal line in his hand.

Agree....sounds like a lack of execution.  They may need to shake up the replay team.

Full speed though, the announcers missed it, so it's understandable that the replay booth might blow it off.  It looked legal at full speed.

But someone should stress...review the plays no matter what.
