I really can't wait till next season. This team has some awesome potential. It's great to be a VOL right now.

IMO, a lot will depend on the decisions of Sutton, Kamara, and JRM.  If they all return, the sky's the limit.  If they all leave, we're probably looking at a 10 win ceiling.

Rumor has it that we're going to see some more coaching turnover, too.

Respectfully, I disagree. IMO, all are replaceable. The sky is the limit with or without them. We have folks ready to step up!

Sutton gone...and needs to be. IMO, he protected himself this year and it showed. He will be a 3rd rounder most likely.

The other 2 need another year.

Sutton was definitely an asset for our defense this season. He was easily our best CB. OTOH, he did sandbag somewhat, so I tend to agree with Phil to a point. Losing Sutton will hurt (I think he's gone), but losing the other two would hurt far more. Kamara didn't put up eye-popping stats this season but he adds a receiving threat out of the backfield and much-needed relief for Hurd. I think Kelly is capable of putting up formidable numbers, but we need Kamara's depth. I don't see anyone on the roster who can replace JRM's production at LB. I really look forward to seeing JRM and Kirkland together at LB after another year of progression under their belt.

I don't think there's much doubt that it would hurt to lose any of those three. Sutton is probably ready, while Kamara would benefit from another year in college. JRM would be a fool to declare, IMO.

Edited to add that if Kamara also goes along with Sutton, that makes the loss of Sutton even more costly because then we feel it in the punt return game as well as on D.
