The biggest and best county fair in the state is off to a great start.  So far we have had 223,000 attendees in the first three days.  It has been fantastic.  If you do attend, then check out the Home Economics building and look at the winner of the Apple Pie contest!!!  (Yours Truely).  Also won the Strawberry cake category, the lemon bar cookies, took a second with a cherry pie and a cheese cake.  Also took numerous Firsts in canning, first on peach preserves, first on Jalapeno Salsa, ....I think I won about 35 ribbons in all!  The blue-haired old ladies hate me...they really cant stand a man beating them in any cooking or preserving competition!

Ha Ha! People only love me for my cooking!  Including my wife! But since she cant boil water, she keeps me around.  I have to teach my daughters how to cook.  My youngest told me one day that she didnt need to know how to cook since Daddy's did the cooking in the family.  She was shocked to hear that in most families, Mommies do the cooking.

Dang, that's knocking it out. They're going to ban you from competing. You really shouldn't anger all of those grandmas.
