I heard today that Joe Dean passed on to that ram jam hoop in the sky.  I guess there might not be too much luv for him on this bd, but I always liked the way he called those SEC hoops games on TV n the 70s & 80s.  I have a lot of fond memories of those broadcasts.

Remember him from my younger days. Did SEC games for quite a while. String Music is a classic phrase he will always be remembered for.

While he would never be in the same class as John Ward I enjoyed his calls.  IMO he is far superior to most of the individuals with diarrhea of the mouth who talk over the games these days.
