Clearly, he's squandered any chance of a big payday this April.  So I think he's forced to return to school.  The only problem is, I'm not sure he'd be very welcome back in Knoxville.  If I were a betting man, I'd say we'll see him suiting up in FCS next year.

He will go pro. The pro scouts like his arm. Even if he's a 3rd or 4th rounder, he will go

I really don't care.  I just want him gone.  He should of been benched in the Florida game when he gave up in the second half.  He is just not a leader or a winner.  Forget the arm, its the head that's the problem.

A decent coach would have taken care of that 3 years ago....

He gave up against KENTUCKY and VANDY.  What's he going to do after a couple hits by James Harrison?

Not much. I didn't say he would be successful. But pro scouts like big arms. See Jamarcus Russell

You would have to think Bray has worked with a sports  phyche, if the NCAA allows.

I hope he goes away.  I'm a Gamecock fan but my kids go to (and have gone to) UT.  I don't care if he throws for 4000 yards, he is not a leader.  Answer me this, for all those fans that think it's only Dooley as the problem, how many times has Bray led you to victory?  He simply pouts and acts like a kid when things aren't going well.  QB's are there to lead.  The best thing UT could ask for is a new coach AND a new QB.  Then things might turn around.

I have heard that both Bray and Patterson won't have a chance to come back because of academics.

Both will struggle in the NFL. Patterson can't just out athlete everyone in the NFL.....he will have to learn how to be a wr if he has any success. Bray won't study enough to be any good. He fits the profile of a kid who always had it come too easy to him.....he never learned to work hard for success.

I think Patterson will be fine. He will struggle as a rookie but they will let him return kicks and he will be a great NFL player.

I think Bray will be a journeyman.

Bray is Ryan Leaf without the college wins.

I feel sorry for Bray as I do any 20 or 21 year old who does dumb stuff. Hopefully he will get things together regardless of whether that means he's great at football or not. That having been said I hope he doesn't end up with regrets about what his football career could have been.

That's pretty harsh IYAM.  Leaf was in a category by himself.  In fact, I think he eventually did jail time for something or other.

Having said that, I hope Bray comes back and gets his act together.  I was down on him earlier in his career, but thought I saw signs of maturity recently.  Myabe not yesterday though...

Good news though...FWIW, Justin looked sharp last night other than the int.  He can be at least a workable SEC QB if Bray does bolt.

Seems pretty accurate to me. They were both prima donnas and Bray has plenty of time to wind up in jail for something or other, which might happen if he continues his penchant for tossing beer bottles at cars and whatnot.

True, but I still don't see Leaf-level idiocy.  Might be the orange blinders though.

Like Nuke Laloosh, Bray has a million-dollar arm and a ten-cent head, but I'm not sure anyone would be "Crash Davis" enough for him to change that.  Admittedly, I have never been a Bray fan, and I have consistently said that he has been overrated as a QB.  He has all the physical skills, and he can put up great numbers, but he needs a true QB mentor to get it through his head that having the skills is not enough.  The football history books are full of players like him who go nowhere.  I hope he can change that, come back next season, and help the new head coach get off to a good start (assuming the new offense uses the style Bray fits).  I would like to see both Bray and the Vols succeed, but UT comes first, so I'm fine with whatever the new coach deems best.

Luckily for us our previous-previous coach passed on that bust Taj Boyd who only passed for 5 td's and ran for three more yesterday. We could have been saddled with that kind of talent.

With the right coach, Bray could be a winner - something he has yet to show.  We only have to look back to Crompton and *gasp* Kiffin's influence on him.  Having said that, however, I hope they prep Worley to start.  For some reason I like our chances better with Worley at this point.

I think about that every time I see Clemson highlights.
