It could get really ugly at USC really fast.   They were 7-5 last year, and have a possibly losing season staring them in the face.  Meanwhile sanctions are really starting to bite and they still employ Kiffin and Orgeron.

What's the over/under on Lane getting fired?  Some might say end of this year, but I think Pat Haden will let him hold on through 2012 when the worst of the sanctions finish or at least start to diminish.  I am not 100% sure of the effect of the appeal, but I am pretty sure that 2011 and 2012 are the two first (and worst) years.

Hopefully by mid-2012, we will be competing for the SEC East while the countdown to Laney getting fired is clicking very loudly.

USC's reduction in scholarships haven't even really taken place yet, due to the appeals process, so their recruiting class this past year was pretty good. It may take a year or two longer for these reductions to affect them on the field. But they're not doing so well even before the deductions, the decline started before Carroll left.

Kiffin + Orgeron + USC's Repeat Offender Status = Death Penalty. 'Nuff said!
