How can that be?

When this thing is over Belmont might end up winning the NC.

Someone in an earlier thread suggested this current investigation may carry over to football.  That is, the folks investigating basketball would just automatically pick up on football cheating because "the same people are doing it".

I disagree strongly.  The people running the basketball programs, and the people arranging for the players (third parties like WW Wes) likely have little to no affiliation with football.  The only potential connection I can see is prominent alums providing money for both.  But the FBI investigation is largely focused on agents and coaches from what I can tell. I'm sure alumni are involved, but they don't seem to be the main focus.

I think the only way the massive cheating going on at programs like bammer gets caught is with a similar investigation focused on football.  Just my $0.02.

Having said that, it might be happening. It's not like the government publishes a list of ongoing investigations.

They might consider cleaning up their own institution first.

I'm sure everyone in Lexington is just floored by this news.  How could they have seen this coming?  If only there had been some clue, some red flag in their coach's past that might have prepared them.

Wonder if the NCAA will keep turning a blind eye to this crap? Got a feeling the Feds have fired a shot across the NCAAs bow and telling them to clean this crap mess up or you're next on our list.

I'm hearing NCAA enforcement is REALLY pissed.  So pissed, in fact, that they're going to HAMMER Utah State and Rider.

They need to throw that fizzle Emmert out on his ear.  He was Saban's boy at LSU and apparently still is.

I wouldn't piss on the sumbich if he was on fire

I got a hunnert that says Duke And UNC are as pure as the driven snow, and will be held up as the model of compliance perfection.
