Just saw the rumor that Haslam is pitching in an ownership share of the Browns to get Gruden to Knoxville.
I expect the next rumor to be something along the lines of Bill Haslam signing a bill requiring every UT fan's first-born to be bequeathed to Gruden.

How many waves can/will there be? I know, right? It's insane. The wave of anticipation builds then something or someone says something to calm the storm. But it doesn't die, it slowly builds again. Rinse and repeat. Hubbs said, and I agree, that it's becoming a PR nightmare to let this Gruden thing continue on without doing something to kill it (if Gruden is truly out). If you think VTTW is in a frenzy, the other boards (VN, especially) is at an absolute fever pitch. |

When stuff like that gets out there, it is not just silly, but stupid. Haslam may be making a pitch to Gruden, but it is Jimmy making a pitch to coach the Browns, not Big Jim pitching UT. |

well let's think about it. Gruden shot down the Arkansas rumors. he has said nothing about TN, even though he knows the rumor is there.
We haven't heard a peep from Dave Hart about anyone even interviewing yet.
Sounds like someone is in the fold to me.

That would require approval by the other NFL owners, and I don't see them doing that. NFL ownership requires a significant financial investment, even for minority owners. |
