He always seemed to get a ton of shade from most non-FSU southern CFB fans, but I always liked him.  I was so glad we beat him for that NC, fer sure, but how can you NOT respect his record of 14 straight years finishing in the top 5.  Mind boggling.   

Daggummit, he was a helluva HFC

Really liked him, too.

He beat Florida more often than not.  He was a good one in my book.

14 straight top 5 finishes from 87 to 2000.

Yeah, in my formative years... FSU was just one of those teams that almost never lost.
