I went to utsports.com and was looking for the shoe picture and saw a pic of him in a game with his mouthpiece clearly tucked into his facemask. He simply never puts it in his mouth.
So, what would prevent an opposing coach from asking a ref just before a critical play in a game to look at that? Paranoid I know, but I don't get it. Isn't it a rule with a penalty attached?
Many, many QBs do that. Not that this makes it right but it happens a lot.
I don't think it's a penalty, I think it's a delay of game warning with a timeout attached.
