I understand the decision but he really could use another year before going pro IMO

Agree.....He needs to get much stronger to handle NFL DBs.

Found this statement from Malone interesting:

“But I honestly just felt like it was the best time to go, and I felt like I really contributed a lot to the program and really felt like much wasn’t going to change or improve next year, play-wise.”

I find that interesting, considering he had issues with getting off press coverage
Two things helped him this year were improved route running (& fewer plays off) and Dobbs' improved passing.

Should have stayed.  But likely the JRM situation scared the shizzle out of him.

Might be saying he did enough this year and coming back wouldn't help his draft status. Like we know.....he will get press man against NFL DBs and he better get stronger and quicker off the ball.
