I felt at the time of the first News Conference (and still do in a couple of instances) that she errored in a few of her statements

It is clear in retrospect that she set the course and maintained it throughout the process.

The result is the best the University could hope for and the self imposed penalties have greatly mitigated the additional penalties levied by the NCAA

Having spoken with her at multiple alumni events she is is an impressive person in person and fully support her vision for the campus

Thanks for posting...

There are some UT fans that say Donde should have been fired because 'she blew up' the program instead of telling the NCAA to stick it like LSU...Bama....Auburn and others do. Wonder what those folks will say about the article?

It sounds like UT has some good leadership at the top....finally!  I think after Joe Johnson was replaced by Lamar Alexander, we entered a long slow decline.  Some top leaders didn't even last a year.  It's about time we have some good senior leadership. Success starts at the top.

I personally never said that. But I'll fully admit my hypocrisy here: If Pruitt was winning at a high level, I probably would've.

Hm.  Well, that's the decisions that leadership has to make I suppose. Anyone who can't fire a person that both cheats AND loses...should clearly be fired themselves.   

I will observe that LSUs bad decision eventually backfired on them.  Thank goodness.  But interestingly, only after that person also started losing.

It's almost enough to make me cynical....
