Hunter is retweeting those comments.

There is no doubt in my mind that Dooley knows he is done and is lashing out at the players and everybody else.

If they don't do something quick, there will be a complete collapse down the stretch. If you don't think we could lose out, you aren't paying attention.

Yeah he is done. And I have been on the "wait till the season's over" bandwagon.... but I think it may be announced way before the season is over.

He may be missing the chance to go out with pride, dignity and a sense of style. He could still hireable by a program in some capacity, maybe Saban could use him since he thinks he's done such a good job.

Yes... even though I've been ready for him to be gone ever since Florida, I didn't want it happening during the season. You get your guy in place and announce it right after Kentucky. But, if the team is going to completely quit on him, losses to Mizzou, Troy, Vandy, and UK would do some irreparable harm to what the new coach would have to work with.

Jay Graham might be a good interim.

Dooley is starting to throw the team under the bus. That's a really poor way to end Your time at Tennessee. CDD need to just empty His desk and leave to avoid making Himself look any worse.

I'd almost bet my entire life savings that we don't go 0-5 down the stretch with no coach at all, let alone Dooley.

And while I'm not a fan of throwing players under the bus, Hunter hasn't exactly been on fire.  Dooley should keep that in the locker room though.

All I said was that it was possible. There is not a team left on our schedule that we can point to and say "Even if we play badly, we will beat that team."

My guess is Dooley said some things he might like to have back and a frustrated 20 year-old may have taken them the wrong way. I think cooler heads can prevail and Dooley can go out in style - sort of.

If not I like the idea of Graham or Cheney running things.

And yeah, I'm still officially on the 8-4 or bust bandwagon, but that seems beyond remote. O.k., it did after the UF game too, but I still offered benefit of the doubt.

He blasted Hunter and Bray pretty good in the press conference. He seems to be a guy who is losing control a bit.

He should just come out and say that I resign immediately following the Kentucky game

Dooley on Vols Jr WR Justin Hunter: He's "never" consistently performed like a first-round draft pick, "and he knows that." But he could.

You talkin' bout this?  Sounds pretty mild to me.

What Dooley said was that Hunter had never played like a first round pick. Rucker tweeted this. Hunter retweeted it. Then Hunter also tweeted (and deleted) "This isn't no family".

I don't think Hunter has played like a first round pick this year, but last year before UF he did. This just shows where Dooley has it all wrong. Even if his statement is couched in truth, he needs to close that stuff in.

Yeah, that's not something you say in a press conference. I haven't heard it, but if it was meant like it sounds that's not good.

"He's never played like a first round pick and he knows it" was the way Rucker said he phrased it.

He also apparently went off on Tyler. That one may be more justified because of Tyler skipping the media deal, but the media is not the place to hash it out.

Agree.  Even something that I don't think is that big a deal should be behind closed doors.  No doubt.

But what set me off last season were comments like "I told you, these are not good guys".  Holy shizzle, that was over the line.  Not just because he is throwing players under the bus permanently, but it definitely has the flavor of putting all the blame on them.
