That looks way too much like a soccer jersey that would be worn by some European club. Anyway, this... The most interesting aspect of the current college football fashion trend is that branding now seems to involve having no brand at all. Tennessee, for example, has a unique color worn by no other school in the country. Yet like so many other schools around the nation and around the SEC, they feel they need to go way, way outside the box to catch the eye of 17-year-olds who clearly have zero interest in tradition. And zero taste.

BTW, did anyone go the link for OU's Nike "wood" unis? You see, they're honoring their tradition, because the Sooner Schooner is made out of wood, so now their uniforms are going to look like wood, too. Get it? GET IT? I can only imagine what Nike has in store for us next year. I can see the Power T on the helmets being replaced with a pic of a half-naked Beyonce. Because, you know, General Neyland had his Maxims, so now our helmets look like the cover of Maxim Magazine. See what we did there? It's all about "tradition".

I know I will be in the minority on this (and maybe the only one having this view), but I don't hate them.

I can endure alternate uni's for one game a year, though I do not like the checkerboard sleeved ones. I actually really liked the Smokey gray we wore last year vs UGA.
But the helmet is sacred, leave the helmet alone. If the jersey doesn't go with our helmets as they are, then don't wear the jersey imo.

That's what I thought too - the helmets tend to clash with the gray color. Oops, made the comments before I saw the picture above. I was commenting on the orange and white with the gray uniforms. I really don't mind the ones in the picture. Don't mess with the helmets!! I guess you're commenting on the newest helmets, not the many others that have been changed over the years. http://blog.heritagesportsart.com/2010/08/university-of-tennessee-volunteers.html

Orange. White. And, yeah, I know. I am just an old, heterosexual, Christian, conservative, husband of the same woman for 32 years, military supporting, second amendment believing, white guy, so I don't count.

UT should ditch both Nike & Adidas....and go with Loudmouth! Or hire Terry Bowden and have Buster Brown as our shoe provider and Carter's as our apparel manufacturer.

Well, at least Buster Brown's would be better than Paterno Blacks!

I kind of like the uniform in the picture you posted. I'm not a fan of the checkerboard all over the shoulder version.

It's been said many times here. We might as well prepare ourselves for something like this. We've already seen the Smokey Gray. I expect that more is on the way.
While we say that it's about what the recruits and players like, and it is, it's also about money.
And that's a force that's irresistible.

Oh, yeah - and I forgot to mention the part about being a wine drinking premium cigar smoker, too. That really makes me an evil person.
