QB18 Brian Maurer NOT at practice and apparently soon will leave/left the team and soon to be in the portal

He was clearly #4 at yesterday's practice, then did his usual social media flopping and flipping, but wants you to know that he is a soldier

Wish him the best

I hope he finds what he’s looking for and is successful.

From what I’m reading, I’m inclined to think that it will either be Hooker or Milton as the starter in game 1. I personally don’t care who it is so long as the staff believes the choice is the best option. Jackson is likely the future, at least as it looks now.

I'm sorta inclined to trust our coach's judgement on QB's.

I'm not sure we'll have anyone who is super consistent, but I trust the staff to manage around that and maximize potential.

Unlike our last coach

It’s really tough to believe how bad “the Gump” really was as a great coach.

What happened to Bailey??

I swear I feel like I have been in a coma and just waking up again on Tennessee football.  And it feels weird as hell.

Bailey could end up being the guy. I don’t know anything, really. It’s just that most of what is out there seems to me to suggest that he won’t be the starter. I don’t care so long as they are the best available.

And as Vinnie said, CJH should be very adept at choosing his QB.

Completely agree JeffCo. Just roll out the best. I could be delusional, but I think whoever plays will have a significantly better OL than we've seen. If that means one less negative play and one more positive play a game that will help.

JG was a super tough dude to handle the punishment he took. Even Jimmy Ray Stephens was far better than Friend.
