write your Congressman to keep free tv. What kind of BS legislation are they proposing. Are there really many homes without cable? I imagine a lot of senior citizens don't have any of those new fangled cable or satelite services. Just curious.

Congress is not proposing or doing anything about TV.  It is all on proposed rulings by the FCC. None actually stop free over-the-air signals. This is propaganda by rebroadcasters that do not want to pay royalties to rebroadcast TV signals and ignore copyright law.
