The Maui Invitational field next week may be

The strongest ever for an early season tourney, at least on paper. You?ve got four top-5 caliber teams (UT, KU, Marquette, Purdue) and another top-15 (Gonzaga). That UCLA and Syracuse are considered the ?undercard? is telling. You don?t want to finish 8th in this 8 team field (that spot is reserved for host Chaminade), but there?s no shame in finishing 7th.
