This is great. A Jimmy Hyams parody account on Twitter (@jimbohyams) tweeted an hour or so ago that the NCAA has formally notified Tennessee that it intends to investigate Donnie Tyndall:
@jimbohyams
It looks as if the NCAA has notified Tennessee that it intends to investigate their new coach Donnie Tyndall.
The account has just 33 followers, but someone saw it and posted it to the messageboards and now everyone is going nuts about it.
But it gets better. The real Jimmy just took to twitter to say this:
@jimmyhyams
I did NOT tweet anything about an NCAA letter of allegation or NCAA investigating Donnie Tyndall. Someone must have hacked my account.
This might explain why Jimmy is always a day late on every scoop. He sees his name pop up on a messageboard and can't quite figure out that it wasn't really his account that tweeted it.
Fortunately, someone helped him out:
@pg021400
@JimmyHyams parody account did that jimmy, not your account
And, of course, someone had to chime in from the Beats Dead Horses department:
@_RealMikeHoncho
@JimmyHyams @VolRumorMill had to be a hack, Jimmy never tweets about current stuff that quick. He's still predicting Hammy will fire Phil
